The National Youth Informatics Contest has been organized by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union since 1995 and assigned to the Center for Development of Science, Technology and Youth Talent as the standing agency of the Organizing Committee. The contest has the role of encouraging young people to study, be creative, and practice skills to solve real-life problems; At the same time, discovering many information technology talents in schools, contributing to the development of high-quality human resources to serve national digital transformation and national development. Up to now, the contest has become a traditional activity in the field of information technology for children, annually attracting tens of thousands of students at all levels across the country to participate.

According to the Competition Rules, the Organizing Committee reviews and issues certificates to candidates with good results in the Regional Round. Each region will select 10 contestants from groups A and B; 8 candidates from group C2; 8 teams compete in group C1 and each creative product group D1, D2, D3 selects 10 best products to attend the National Final Round and the 30th Anniversary of the National Youth Informatics Contest (1995 – 2024) at Hanoi capital in early August.
