After seven days of urgent, diligent, responsible, and effective work by the evaluation experts, along with the dedicated efforts of the entire faculty, staff, and students, on the morning of November 28, 2024, Viendong College, in collaboration with the Center for Educational Quality Accreditation (CEQA) – SaiGon Academy Co., Ltd., held the closing ceremony for the external evaluation of the educational institution at the college.
Attending the closing ceremony, the External Evaluation Committee for Vocational Education Institutions included:
- Mr. Do Huu Khoa – Director of SaiGon Academy Co., Ltd.
The expert committee for the external evaluation consisted of:
- Dr. Dang Van Dai – Principal of Dong Sai Gon College – Head of the committee
- MSc. Tran Phuoc Phu – Former Head of the Testing and Quality Assurance Department, Da Nang Vocational College – Secretary
- MSc. Phan Anh Dinh – Former Vice-Principal of Phu Yen Vocational College – Member
- MSc. Ton That Duy – Former Director of IIG Vietnam Branch in Da Nang – Member
- MSc. Nguyen Huu Luong – Former Head of the Science and Quality Assurance Department, Waterway Transport College II – Member
Representing Eastern Vietnam College were:
- Mrs.Le Thi Oanh – Chairwoman of the Board of Directors, Viendong College.
- MSc. PhD(c) Tran Thanh Hai – Rector, Viendong College.
- MSc. Phan Thi Le Thu – Vice-Principal of the Viendong College.
Dr. Dang Van Dai – Head of the External Evaluation Committee, presented the preliminary report.
On behalf of the External Evaluation Expert Team, Dr. Dang Van Dai – Principal of Dong Sai Gon College and Head of the Committee, presented the preliminary report on the official survey results of Vien Dong College. The report provided an overview of the committee’s task execution process, outlined the grounds and principles followed during the evaluation, highlighted the strengths, and offered recommendations for the school to develop improvement plans for the quality of its education in the upcoming period.
During the closing ceremony, Mr. Do Huu Khoa – Director of Sai Gon Academy Co., Ltd., acknowledged and highly appreciated the scientific evaluation processes and methods, as well as the responsible, objective, fair, and intellectual working spirit of the External Evaluation Expert Committee. This was evident in their thorough review of the documentation, preliminary survey, and official evaluation, which led to the conclusions, assessments, and recommendations for improving the quality of Vien Dong College. He also expressed gratitude to the College for its support and efforts in providing the necessary information and evidence to assist the evaluation process.

In his speech at the closing ceremony, MSc. Phd(c) Tran Thanh Hai expressed his pleasure and extended his gratitude to the External Evaluation Expert Committee for their diligent, responsible, and dedicated work in providing the most comprehensive and objective assessments of Vien Dong College. The Principal also emphasized the crucial role of external evaluations and highlighted the proactive and positive approach of the College throughout the process of conducting surveys and the external evaluation.

The Principal of the college emphasized that the evaluation and accreditation of educational quality is a key policy of the country, providing an opportunity for universities and colleges in general, and Vien Dong College in particular, to recognize their strengths and weaknesses, identify areas that need innovation and improvement, and contribute to the development of the country. He also highly valued the role of external evaluation. He considered it a great and invaluable learning experience for the College. Throughout the process of meeting the requirements of the External Evaluation Expert Committee, each individual within the College has transformed, adjusted their approach, and gradually contributed to establishing a culture of quality within the institution. The Principal expressed his hope that this culture of quality would progressively be formed and affirmed across all units of the College. The Principal also extended his heartfelt thanks to the External Evaluation Expert Committee and stated that the College has complete confidence in the fairness and professionalism of the experts’ work, which has helped the College better understand itself and recognize its current position. Regardless of whether the results of this survey are high or low, the Principal viewed this as a meaningful and valuable opportunity for the College to leverage its strengths, address its weaknesses, and identify the most practical solutions to continue asserting its value to society.
At the conclusion of the official survey for the external evaluation, the Head of the External Evaluation Expert Committee and the Principal of Vien Dong College signed the minutes marking the completion of the official survey for the College’s quality evaluation.
