Halloween, celebrated on October 31st each year, is a holiday that has its origins in the ancient traditions of the Celts, particularly the festival of Samhain.
Today, Halloween has become a festive occasion filled with fun activities such as dressing up in costumes, trick-or-treating, and lively celebrations. Both children and adults eagerly prepare unique costumes, ranging from scary characters to cute figures. This is not only an opportunity to express creativity but also a chance to strengthen community bonds and create joyful memories.
During the meeting of the Foreign Language Club at Vien Dong College on October 31, 2024, students explored Halloween traditions and learned some spooky vocabulary related to the holiday. They discussed how Halloween is celebrated in various cultures, from the unique activities in Western countries to how Vietnamese people today embrace and celebrate Halloween.
