Halloween, celebrated every October 31st, has roots in ancient Celtic traditions, particularly the festival of Samhain, when people believed the boundary between the living and the dead was blurred. Today, it’s a holiday filled with costumes, trick-or-treating, and festivities that bring communities together in a playful, spooky spirit.
For our English Club meeting this afternoon, we’ll dive into Halloween traditions, explore some spooky vocabulary, and discuss how Halloween is celebrated in various cultures. It’ll be a fun, engaging way to practice English and learn about the holiday’s history and customs. Don’t forget to bring your Halloween spirit—see you there!
