The Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs, along with the President of Vien Dong College, signed an agreement with German enterprises to enhance the skills of young workers.

On May 22, at the headquarters of Avestos Group in Leipzig, Federal Republic of Germany, Mr. Le Van Thinh, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs, along with Mr. Tran Thanh Hai, President of Vien Dong College, signed an agreement with German enterprises to enhance the skilled workforce of Vien Dong College. The agreement also aims to train young talent according to German standards for both the German and Vietnamese labor markets.
Attending the signing ceremony, on the German side, were Mr. Matthias Kaiser, CEO of Avestos HR UG (Germany), and Mr. Nguyen Dac Hoan, Director of Devis Joint Stock Company (Vietnam). On the Vietnamese side, the event was witnessed by representatives of the Vietnamese Embassy in the Federal Republic of Germany.
According to the agreement, the German Avestos Group will ensure vocational training for trainees and help skilled workers integrate into the German labor market, while also supporting the protection of their rights in Germany as defined by the program. Avestos will collaborate with the Vietnamese company Devis to implement the conditions stipulated in the intern/skilled worker contracts.
Meanwhile, Vien Dong College is responsible for collaborating with Devis to provide counseling and career guidance to high school students in Ho Chi Minh City when needed. The college will also be accountable for support programs, advising, and career counseling for its own students.
Vien Dong college will coordinate with various departments and agencies to advise the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, creating all necessary conditions to effectively send students from Ho Chi Minh City to Germany for training, studying, and working.
The signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Agreement took place within the framework of a business trip to survey and study the fields of healthcare, elderly care, and vocational education by the Delegation from the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, led by Mr. Le Van Thinh.
The purpose of the visit was to explore opportunities for transferring vocational education programs (college and intermediate levels) from Germany in the field of healthcare; to understand the quality assurance processes for training according to German standards for vocational education institutions; the scope of accreditation by regulatory bodies (within and outside Germany); the acceptance of quality accreditation results from other countries; and the methods and costs of implementing quality accreditation.
The delegation also visited operational models of nursing homes, specialized techniques for elderly care, and investigated ways to link vocational education institutions with businesses throughout the training process.
During this visit, the delegation met with the Consulate General of Vietnam in Frankfurt, worked with the University Hospital Der Goethe, the Azurit Hansa Group of nursing homes in Hesse, the AWO company specializing in nursing homes and geriatric nursing schools in Gera, Thuringia, and the VTT company specializing in teaching German to Vietnamese people in Berlin.
